This guide is about how to join avi files into bigger one with AVI Joiner developed by Digitbyte Studio

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Download AVI Joiner, install it to your pc and launch the program

  2. Step 2

    Add AVI files to the list by clicking the Add AVI button, or drag and drop the files to the AVI File Name list.

  3. Step 3

    If you want to adjust file sequence, select an item in the list, then use the Up or Down button

  4. Step 4

    If you need to remove an avi file in the list, just select an item, then click "Delete"

  5. Step 5

    Clear all avi files in the list one time, just press "Clear"

  6. Step 6

    Enter the output filename, or use "Browse" to select a directory or name a file.

  7. Step 7

    Click Merge icon to join all AVI files together.

  8. Step 8

    Press the Preview button to preview the combined AVI file.

    Done!

on 10/21/2008 Is there a way to break an AVI file? If I attempt to capture an entire tape the resulting AVI file is much to large to fit on a DVD. Right now, I manage by capturing 30 minute segments, but it is considerably inconvenient.
