How to Play the Drinking Dice Game, "7, 11, Doubles"
For those timid party drinkers out there who insist on a reason for shotgunning a beer, drinking games often provide just enough rationality for getting drunk. If you find yourself without playing cards but you have a pair of dice, "7,11, Doubles" is a fun and easy game that countless people can play together.

1
Place a glass or cup where it is accessible to all players, and fill it half full with beer.
-
2
Decide who will go first, and allow that person to roll the dice. If the rolled numbers on the dice aren't equal (doubles) and the sum of the numbers rolled isn't 7, or 11, then the roller's turn is over and the dice is passed to the next player.
-
-
3
Once someone rolls 7, 11, or doubles, no one touch the dice! The roller gets to choose another player to drink the half-glass of beer.
-
4
As soon as the chosen drinker touches the glass, the roller continues to roll the dice until another 7, 11, or double appears or until the drinker finishes the beer and puts the glass back on the table. Note: After rolling a 7, 11, or doubles at any time, if the roller touches the dice before the drinker touches the beer, the roller must drink the beer as punishment and his turn is forfeited.
-
5
If another 7, 11, or double is rolled before the drinker finishes, then the glass is refilled and Step 4 is repeated as many times as it takes for the drinker to finish the beer before the roller hits another 7, 11, or double.
-
6
If the drinker finishes the beer before another 7, 11, or double is rolled, then the dice is passed to the next player and the game continues. There are no winners except those left standing at the end and the game can last as long as there is beer to drink.

Tips & Warnings
The best strategy for this game is misdirection. If the drinker can distract the roller with something else (not difficult to do at a party) she can drink the beer without being noticed, and the roller has no chance to roll again.
Fake outs are also useful. If the roller is determined to pick up the dice and roll as soon as the drinker touches the glass, a fake grab for the glass can sometimes cause the roller to touch the dice prematurely, forcing him to drink in punishment.
For the roller, once the drinker has touched the glass, it is most effective to toss the dice gently so they settle quickly on the new number, this maximizes the chance that it will eventually land on another 7, 11, or doubles.
As the roller, be careful to never touch the dice once a 7, 11, or doubles have been rolled. It is a common mistake to roll, and grab at the dice before checking to see what number appears, and this can be costly.
Always know your limits. If you feel as though you're drinking too much, leave the game, because there really are no winners or losers to it anyway.
Because the rollers get to choose who drinks, the possibility arises to gang up on one person. This is unfortunately part of the game, but be aware of how much that person can handle and never exceed that. Just be respectful.
