Prom Corsage
Prom Corsage

Make your own corsage whether it's for a wedding, anniversary, homecoming or prom! This is a fun, easy project and you can customize it to your own needs.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 small flowers (roses & carnations work well) or 1-2 lilies.
  • ribbon
  • rubber band
  • corsage pin
  1. Step 1

Gather together 2 or 3 small flowers and wrap stems with floral wire and trim the bottom of the stems. Cover the bottom of the stems with one end of the ribbon and fasten it with a rubber band one inch up from the bottom.

  2. Step 2

Holding ribbon at slight angle, wrap it tightly, winding UP and covering the rubber band and stems.

  3. Step 3

Fold the end of the ribbon under and secure it to the handle (wrapped stems) with a corsage pin.

Tips & Warnings
  • Store corsages in a cool place like the refrigerator and misted with a clean water.
  • peel the outer petals of a rose to get a cleaner look or a smaller bud.
  • Before adding ribbon, you may also add some filler foliage to spruce up your corsage, like 2 leafs placed behind the flowers or some baby's breath on the sides.
  • Do not over spray your flowers or you could cause water spots on some petals.
