Ponds open up a world of opportunity for Sims in Sims 2: Seasons. Sims can catch fish to cook and eat, sell to others or to mount on the wall as a decoration of accomplishment.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a pond to fish in. If you don't have one on your Sim's lot, got to a community lot. If you're playing in the new Riverblossom Hills neighborhood, the Hills Community Center has a nice, large pond for your Sim to fish in.

  2. Step 2

Click on the pond and select "Fish Using" and select a lure. If your Sim has never fished before, he will only have the option of selecting a worm as bait. The more you fish, however, the more talented you will get and the opportunity for using better lures will come.

  3. Step 3

Wait as your Sim stands with her hook in the water. She may catch something and she may not. If you feel it's been too long, you can start over by choosing to recast the line. Click on the pond and select "Recast."

  4. Step 4

Check your Sim's inventory after he reels in his line. When he reels something in and then recasts, he puts something into his inventory. Take a look at the inventory to see what he hauled in, whether it's fish or trash.

Tips & Warnings
  • Go fishing with other Sims to build social and your fishing skill at the same time. If you are at a community lot, you can click on a Sim who is fishing and select "Join Using" and select a lure. Or, if you are fishing, you can click on another Sim and select "Ask to Join."
