No one wants to have their golf bag and clubs tumble off their cart in the middle of the golf course. When you attach your golf bag to a golf cart, make sure that it is attached securely.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Stand at the back of the golf cart, facing the cart. You should see large slots and 2 black straps for attaching 2 golf bags.
Step2
Place your golf bag into one of the slots.
Step3
Draw the strap around the golf bag threading it through the handles on the bag.
Step4
Push the strap underneath the open buckle.
Step5
Secure the golf bag by tightly pulling the strap.
Step6
Press down on the buckle to close it. Once the buckle is closed, the strap holding your golf bag should be secure.
Step7
Check the strap by tugging it gently to make sure it is secure.

Tips & Warnings

  • There are special golf cart straps available in sporting and golf stores. You also can buy them online at many sporting supply websites, such as the Design & Development Corporation. Call them at (866)716-4635, or visit the website (see link in Resources). These strong plastic straps give extra protection to your golf clubs.
  • Many golf club bags have secure, anti-theft straps built into them. For example, the Club-Lok golf bag has a steel cable that retracts. This cable wraps around the golf cart frame and into a secure lock to keep your clubs secure.
  • Be aware that the straps may be worn out on golf carts. Always check for worn straps before securing your golf clubs to the cart.
