Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Decide how far you're willing to go. When it comes time to choose a Yorkshire terrier for breeding, you may be disappointed to find out that the sire of your choice lives on the other side of the country. So it's important to decide early on how much time and money you're willing to invest in getting your dog. If money is no object, you'll want to fly in the sire for breeding. If you're trying to save money, you may have to go with a second or third choice that's closer to home.
Step2
Understand what makes a quality Yorkshire terrier. If you plan on showing your litter of Yorkie pups, make sure that both the bitch and sire come from good bloodlines. Look at the breed standard to determine which traits are acceptable so that you can choose 2 dogs that will create the best-looking offspring.
Step3
There are some health conditions that are common in Yorkies and other small breeds. Look back several generations for possible health complications that may arise if you combine the two bloodlines.
Step4
Pay attention to temperament. It doesn't matter how good your puppies look if they aren't well behaved. Look for a male and a female that have easygoing temperaments, and you'll likely have a litter of puppies that are easier to sell and show.

on 5/25/2008 I got my puppy from KiddYorkies.com. They breed some of the healthiest, most beautiful puppies I have ever seen.
