How to Buy the Perfect Bra
A good bra can be better than 1,000 hours spent working out in the gym. The trick is to know what to look for when it comes time to buy this undergarment. Once you find the one that works for you, you'll want to stock up on several.

Know your size. This is the most critical piece of information when it comes to buying the perfect bra. To get the right size, you need to take 2 different measurements. First, take a tape measure and wrap it around your body underneath your arms. Then add 5 inches to the measurement. This is your band size.
-
2
Measure your breasts at the fullest point all the way around. The tape measure should rest on your nipples for the second measurement. To calculate your cup size, subtract the first measurement from the second one. 1 inch is an A cup, 2 inches a B, 3 a C cup and so forth.

Figure out what type of bra you need. Choose a sports bra for working out. Select a minimizer bra if you want to make your chest smaller. A full coverage bra will keep you covered up. A demi will show a bit of skin. There are bras designed to show more cleavage, bras that have no straps and a dozen or so alternatives.

4
Pick the right fabric. Lightly lined cups can look great under t-shirts or sweaters, while lace may be cooler for the summer months. Experiment with different fabrics.
-
5
Try everything on. The cut of the bra may differ, depending on the manufacturer. Don't assume that you will fit in the same size for different brands.
-
6
Buy in volume. Once you find the perfect bra, keep several on hand. Buy at least 3, so you can wear one, wash one and have a spare.
