Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
-
All school pictures
-
12-pocket accordion file for each child
-
12 matching frames for each child
Step1
Gather all of the school pictures you have of your children and sort them by child.
Step2
Keep it simple by starting with the first child. Then once the first child is compete, move to the next and thereafter.
Step3
Sort pictures chronologically by year. Lay them chronologically to see how much your child has grown, changed and evolved into the person they are now.
Step4
Label each picture with the child's name, year and age. Use an acid-free pen.
Step5
Set aside a 4 by 6, 5 by 7 or 8 by 10 size for each year. Throughout each year, stay consistent with the size of photo that you choose to use.
Step6
Take the extra pictures that you have for each year and put them in individual pockets in an accordion folder. Use enclosed inserts to label each pocket with year. On the outside of the folder, clearly write the child's name with a marker.
Step7
Take the remaining 4 by 6, 5 by 7 or 8 by 10 photos and put them into matching frames. Hang them up on one wall in chronological order. Try creating a square or rectangle mural, or lay them out in length across the whole wall.
Step8
Get creative with your display. Add a ribbon to the top of the frame or create a stencil above the pictures to spell out their names.
Step9
Repeat all steps for each child, and watch them grow up before your eyes. You can choose different walls in your house to display each child.
Step10
Cherish the wall of each child for years to come and embrace the organization of the extra pictures so that you can use them later for scrapbooks, school projects or gifts for family and friends.
