It takes a special person to become a TV announcer. You must have a good stage presence, be able to think on your feet and have a passion for the news and the media. With a bit of formal training and a few lucky breaks, you can become a TV announcer fairly quickly.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Get the right education. If you want to become a TV announcer, a degree in communication is usually a good choice, and you'll learn about the different delivery styles as well as the technical aspects that go along with the job. The more you know about the field, the better off you'll be.
Step2
Practice public speaking. Talking in public and in front of the camera should be second nature to anyone who wants to become a TV announcer.
Step3
Take care of your appearance. While you don't have to be of supermodel glamour, it's important that you're mindful of your appearance at all times. Getting your hair cut and styled as well as having regular manicures will keep you looking your best in front of the camera.
Step4
Become an intern. The best way to get your foot in the door to become a TV announcer is to take an unpaid internship with a television station. You'll learn how things work, and if you're good enough, you may get some screen time.
Step5
Have a passion for journalism. It's important to love what you do, and TV announcers are no exception to this rule.
