The garden season brings happy, warm thoughts and memories to the many people who garden. Hold onto those memories when the garden season is through by making a garden scrapbook.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Card stock
  • Sharp scissors
  • Stickers and other embellishments
  • Scrapbook album
  • Garden photographs
  • Sketch pad and pencil
  • Acid-free craft glue
  1. Step 1

Take photographs of the garden all year long. These images are the most important part of a garden scrapbook. Try to take photographs to show each stage of growth, from seed to the finished product. Use the settings on the camera to make sure the pictures are crisp and clear.

  2. Step 2

Buy a scrapbook album. Many different sized scrapbook albums are available. You can find these at most craft stores and many department stores. Search on the Internet for more options.

  3. Step 3

Purchase some basic scrapbook supplies. This includes sharp scissors, acid-free craft glue and extra scrap paper for borders, embellishments and decorations. Use stickers to decorate the pages around the photographs. The best paper to buy for scrapbook projects is card stock.

  4. Step 4

Select a theme. The kid's garden, vegetable gardens and flower gardens are example scrapbook themes. Write these themes and ideas down before you start the garden scrapbook project.

  5. Step 5

Draw a sketch of how you want to layout and design the pages before you start on the scrapbook. This helps you avoid any unwanted problems and issues. Use your creativity when deciding how each page should look. Think of the garden scrapbook as a photograph album with flair.

Tips & Warnings
  • Join a local scrapbooking club to get some help and ideas if it's your first scrapbook.
  • Use glue dots instead of craft glue. They are a time saver and are safe for any scrapbook needs.
