How to Join a Volkswagen Car Club

Do you own a Volkswagen and you're proud of it? If so, a Volkswagen car club is for you. Joining a club for VW owners will offer you benefits, such as discounts on merchandise, and will give you the opportunity to meet fellow VW enthusiasts. But if you're not sure how or where to find these clubs, just follow one of the suggestions below.

Instructions

    • 1

Join the official Volkswagen club. The VW Club is an exclusive club for Volkswagen owners and the only club actually affiliated with Volkswagen. You can't sign up over the internet, so call 1-800 DRIVE VW if you are interested in joining.

    • 2

Sign up to be a member of the Volkswagen Club of America, an online organization for VW owners (see Resources below). Just follow the link to sign up on the home page and you'll instantly be part of a VW community.

    • 3

Consider joining the Vintage Volkswagen Club of America if you own a vintage VW model or simply have an appreciation for them. Although primary membership consists of those who own air-cooled Volkswagens, anyone is welcome to join. Just click the "membership" link on the left-hand side of the page.

Look for a Volkswagen club that serves your particular city. Since these clubs are specific to a certain area, they have the advantage of being able to meet up together due to close proximity. So, joining one of these clubs would allow you to actually attend meetings and meet other VW owners and enthusiasts.

    • 5

Find a VW club for your state or general region if you live in a small city or just want to go outside your city limits to find fellow Volkswagen lovers. Knowing other VW enthusiasts in your area could be helpful if you are looking for a particular VW model or part, or if you just want to find others in your area who love VWs as much as you do.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do an online search to find local VW clubs in your city, state, or general geographic region.

  • Some Volkswagen clubs require you do pay dues, but the fee is usually fairly small.
