Lazy Boy Solitaire is a great game to start out with if you're just getting into solitaire card games, especially if you're a child. You only need a deck of cards and a quick summary of the rules.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Deck of cards with jokers removed
  1. Step 1

Know that the object of the game is to build 8 foundation piles; 4 piles starting with Kings and going downward, and 4 piles starting with Aces and going upward.

  2. Step 2

Shuffle the cards and deal out the top 3 cards. Placing them face up on top of each other so that all 3 cards are visible. Set them down so that the third card you drew from the deck sits on top. Set the rest of the cards in the deck face down.

  3. Step 3

Deal the cards from the deck in 3-card increments, playing any cards you can to build up your foundation piles. For example, if you deal out 3 cards, use what you can starting with the top card first to free up the next card. After you've done all you can, deal three more cards out on top of the three on the table.

  4. Step 4

Place any Aces or Kings side by side in the center of the table as they are drawn. These will be the cards you build on in the game.

  5. Step 5

Build up the aces by placing cards of the same suit on each ace going up to the 7 in a suit. For example, on the ace of spades you will have the two, three, four, five, six and then finally, the seven of spades.

  6. Step 6

Build down on the Kings by placing cards of the same suit on each King going down to the 8 card. For example, on the King of Diamonds you will have the Queen, Jack, ten, nine and then finally the eight of diamonds.

  7. Step 7

Turn over the cards on the table and play them again without shuffling them once you run out of cards in your deck.

  8. Step 8

Win the game by completing the books of Kings and Aces in the middle of the table. Start over if you come to a spot where you can't do anything. Keep playing until you win.
