Look for software to backup your computer by creating CDs and DVDs. Roxio is one of the most popular and comes free on many new PCs, or it can be downloaded via the Internet.

5
Decide what other software you need to get the maximum advantage out of your computer. If you can't find free versions on the Internet, try stores such as CompUSA and Office Max. You may not get the software free but you can get good bargains there. You don't need to have the brand name for your computer to work best; sometimes off brands work just as well if not better.
