Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Turn the circuit on before entering the shower or turning on the water supply.
Step2
Inspect the wiring near the showerhead. The two wires connected to the showerhead should be covered well with electrical tape or conduit caps. There should also be a green grounding wire securely attached to the water pipe. If any of the wires are exposed, turn the circuit breaker off and cover the wire ends with electrical tape before using the shower.
Step3
Adjust the heat level of the water before turning the shower on. Most electric showers offer adjustment between cold and hot for the perfect water temperature. Do not adjust the lever while the water is running, as it can damage the electric shower's heating element.
Step4
Turn on the water until you hear a slight buzz from the showerhead. The buzz indicates that the shower is working and heating the water. After you hear it, you can increase the water pressure to adjust the temperature.
Step5
Enjoy your hot shower, and remember to turn the circuit off once you finish bathing.
