If you find yourself in a situation in which you need a condom but don't have one, there are a few things you can consider doing. The alternatives listed below are no way an preferable to purchasing a real condom. However, here are some ways to make something like a condom if you are in a pinch.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Find a latex glove. If you don't have a condom, perhaps the next best thing is something made of latex. Understand that latex gloves are not lubricated, so you will want to lubricate your glove before use.
Step2
Try using saran wrap. To make the condom, cover the head of the penis with the saran wrap first and wrap it down to the base of the penis. Use the strongest possible saran wrap and use multiple layers.
Step3
Consider using a latex balloon or multiple latex balloons. Use multiple balloons at once in case one breaks.
Step4
Run to a 24-hour store immediately and buy a cheap condom.

Tips & Warnings

  • Even the inexpensive condoms available at 24-hour stores are good condoms to use on an emergency basis.
  • Latex balloons and gloves are slightly better than using nothing at all, but not by much. They are not tested for proper protection but they can offer some protection if you absolutely don't have a condom and absolutely need one.
  • As with condoms, these makeshift methods do not protect against STDs and PROBABLY will not prevent pregnancy. The best method is to find a store open 24 hours to purchase condoms.
