Whether you're trying to work up a show for the stage or street or just trying to impress a few friends, juggling is a great talent. If you have experience juggling two or three balls, it's time to take your skills to the next level with four. Once you've mastered four balls, you can step up your juggling to include as many balls as you want.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Learn to juggle with two and then three balls before trying to juggle four.
Step2
Practice juggling two balls in your dominant hand by tossing one into the air and then tossing the other when the first one reaches its apex.
Step3
Repeat Step 2 using your non-dominant hand to juggle the balls.
Step4
Proceed to juggling four balls by simultaneously juggling two balls in each hand. The simplest pattern you should follow is called the "Asynchronous Fountain," in which you alternate tosses with your left and right hands.
Step5
Try performing the Synchronous Fountain by tossing a ball into the air with both hands at the same time. This will probably give you a little more trouble than the Asynchronous Fountain, but the coordinated visual effect it creates is neat and definitely worth the effort.

Tips & Warnings

  • When tossing your balls, try throwing them in a circular motion away from your body. If done properly, your right hand should be juggling clockwise while your left hand juggles counter clockwise.
  • If you have trouble keeping four in the air, focus on controlling your non-dominant hand.
