Pregnancy brings not only joy but a whole host of symptoms. From morning sickness and sleepless nights to stretch marks and swollen ankles. Hormonal surges and other physical discomforts can be helped by following a healthful diet, getting plenty of rest, moderate exercise and a few natural remedies. There are natural ways to get relief from your pregnancy symptoms.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Use peppermint tea for heartburn relief, and try not to eat anything within two hours of bedtime. Also, try eating yogurt or milk to help reduce the burning sensation.
Step2
Research essential oils to use for aromatherapy and as massage oils. Natural Bloom offers a list of oils that may or should not be used during pregnancy. Essential oils can be natural remedies for many pregnancy symptoms.
Step3
Relieve morning sickness with candid ginger or ginger tea. Don't let you stomach get empty.
Step4
Visit a licensed massage therapist regularly, and learn self-massage techniques. Massage therapy is a natural way to alleviate back and leg pain.
Step5
Slather cocoa butter cream on your belly, thighs and buttocks to help prevent stretch marks. Drinking plenty of water may also help your skin retain its elasticity.
Step6
Relieve swelling feet by sitting with your feet propped up. Try soaking your feet in cold water for about 10 or 15 minutes prior to resting; this is a good remedy for edema.
Step7
Wear a supportive bra to alleviate discomfort in your breasts.

Tips & Warnings

  • Drink plenty of water to help alleviate swelling.
  • Avoid caffeine and salty foods.
  • Avoid being on your feet for long periods of time, and always wear comfortable shoes.
