How to Become a Vespa Dealer

The Italian-made Vespa motor scooter originally gained popularity in Europe but is now in demand worldwide. In addition to being fun to ride, the Vespa's great gas mileage and dependability has led to the need for more dealerships across the country. Vespa dealers sell scooters and accessories and also provide maintenance service. To maintain its reputation for excellence, Vespa demands a demonstrated record of sales and service success in order to become a dealer.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold a position of authority at an already existing powersport dealership and service store. You'll need to be able to make important decisions concerning the future direction of the business.

    • 2

Demonstrate a record of excellent customer service. Your reputation among your customers and the community must be good.

    • 3

Have the resources to locate your dealership in an area that is not already served by an existing Vespa dealership.

    • 4

Fill out the online application as completely as possible, paying special attention to the section asking for information about yourself, your company, and your plans for a Vespa dealership. This form will also ask about the number of stores you own, how many years your store has been in business, and your annual sales.

    • 5

Be prepared to invest in the new dealership. The cost of this will vary greatly from place to place depending on various start-up costs and other factors. The company does not charge a fee for obtaining a dealership.
