How to Play Pranks With Bed Sheets

It's April Fool's day, and you're scouring the house (or hotel) for domestic materials to play pranks with. What about the bed sheets? In addition to a couple of old stand-bys, there are a lot more interesting ways to play pranks with bed sheets (without destroying the sheets themselves). Be considerate of your subjects, though, and play your pranks in the good-natured spirit of the day.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Short sheet the bed. This is for sure among the top three most common pranks played with bed sheets. It's simple: just fold the sheet in half and tuck it in to look like the bed is made. When the subject takes off the covers to climb into bed, they'll only get halfway down.

  2. Step 2

Mix up bed sheets. This prank works on whoever washes linens and re-fits beds with sheets (maybe your co-workers in housekeeping). When the subject goes to outfit the queen bed with twin sheets, they'll come up short.

  3. Step 3

Use breakfast cereal. Some pranksters like to do the old "crumbs in the bed" trick by putting something like frosted flakes in the made bed. This may be more of an annoyance than a prank, but it's still a popular one.

  4. Step 4

Put on a fake toga party. This one involves a little more effort: dress yourself in a bed sheet and tell people there's a toga party in a nearby location. Then go back and get dressed regularly. Watch people show up to a random place dressed in bed sheets.

  5. Step 5

Make a "ghost." The ghost can be anything attached to a wire and covered with a white bed sheet. Or you can put the bed sheet over your head. This one only works on kids, and don't overdo it, or you might wind up with some little enemies.
