Dulcamara, also known as Bitter Nightshade, is a vine plant that belongs to the potato family. Dulcamara is most commonly used in homeopathic remedies to treat skin conditions, joint problems and disorders that affect the mucous membranes of the body. Dulcamara has very slight narcotic properties and therefore should be used with care. But with proper application, this plant can be an effective natural medicine.

      Take Dulcamara 6X tablets as a homeopathic remedy to remove warts. These tablets, which are readily available in most health food stores, are a common and effective treatment for most kinds of warts. Take one tablet three times a day until the wart disappears.

      Relieve the painful symptoms of rheumatism with tea made from Dulcamara. Boil one half of a pint of water and remove from heat before adding one ounce of fresh Dulcamara. Drink 1 cup three times a day.

      Use Dulcamara as an effective homeopathic remedy for asthma, bronchitis, flu, colds and other conditions that effect the respiratory tract.

      Boil 1 cup of fresh Dulcamara in 1 qt. of water for 30 minutes. Strain the herbs and use the water to wash your skin if you suffer from abscesses, eczema, psoriasis or other skin problems.

      Use 1 to 2 ml of Dulcamara extract as a pain reliever, sedative or diuretic medicine. Simply add the liquid to a glass of water to relieve the symptoms of convulsive disorders, anxiety disorders and menstrual problems.

      Place a few drops of Dulcamara extract on open sores and inflamed areas to aid in healing and reduce swelling. You can also apply the extract directly to infected fingernails and toenails to cure fungal diseases.
