Travel for work. Travel is 90 percent of the job as Busch race officials will have to travel to most events. This includes travel on weekends.

Enforce rules and regulations. Officials have to learn and enforce Nascar rules as they pertain to the Busch series. There are differences in the Busch races and other events.

Communicate effectively. Race officials must be able to communicate in a professional manner. You will have to communicate with crew chiefs, race control, and other officials as part of the job.

Have education and/or experience. You must have education or a background in mechanics.

Visit the Nascar website. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the "Jobs" link.

Select the "Jobs" link. You will be directed to a page with links for job listings for various racing venues and sponsors. Scroll down to find Nascar Inc.

Click on the link for employment under Nascar Inc. You will be directed to a welcome page. Click on the "Search Jobs" button on the left.

Use the drop down list to choose "Race Official" under job title. You can also choose a location if you prefer, but you may have better luck leaving it blank.

Click on "Search". Your search results page will appear. Click on the link to "race official." A page detailing the job responsibilities will appear. Follow the instructions on the page to apply for the position.
