Using instant messengers has become the new way of picking up the phone. These programs provide the means to talk or video chat with the other person at the far end of that connection. Just as emoticons have become great time savers for typing and expressing ourselves, Trillian brings along Emotiblips. No longer are you limited to just a form of smiley faces to send, now you can send songs, video clips or audio clips.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Video or audio clip to send
Step1
Open Trillian and pull down the Trillian menu at the top. Select the Trillian Preferences menu option.
Step2
Select the Video and Audio selection. When the new window opens on the left side, select "Emotiblips."
Step3
Add an emotiblip to your list of available ones, by selecting an audio or video file on your computer that you would like to be able to send in an audio or video chat session to the other person.
Step4
Select the button at the bottom and choose "add existing blips." Choose the file that you want to include in the list and select "open." As you repeat this for each blip that you want on your list, you will have a selection list to choose from.
Step5
Send an emotiblip from the Emotiblip button in the next video chat that you have to try them out. Surprise your friends.

Tips & Warnings

  • Emotiblips can only be used in Video chat mode.
