Things You'll Need:

  • Glass tabletop
  • Krylon stained-glass color paint in several colors
  • Krylon paint pen in gloss black
  • 1 inch wide painters tape
  • Glass cleaner
  • Paper towels
  • Craft knife
  • Black permanent marker
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Straightedge
  • Circle compass
  • Kraft paper
  1. Step 1

Cut craft paper to fit the size of the table. Use a pencil to draw a pattern on the paper. Use a ruler, circle compass and a straight edge to make precise lines. Trace over the lines using a permanent black marker.

  2. Step 2

Choose the colors you will use on the table. Label each shape on the pattern with the color name.

  3. Step 3

Clean glass and remove all traces of lint. Place craft paper under the glass.

  4. Step 4

Pick a color to start with. Mask off all other areas with tape. Spray the first color and allow it to dry for half an hour. Gently peel the tape off and let the glass dry for several hours.

  5. Step 5

Tape off the area for the second color. Spray the color, let it set for 30 minutes, remove the tape and let it dry for several hours. Repeat this process for all colors.

  6. Step 6

Let the glass dry completely. Use a black paint pen and a ruler to trace the lines and make it look like leading.

  7. Step 7

Lay the finished table top, paint side down, on a glass table base.
