Soap operas can create a lot of discussion and debate, and with their prolific output of episodes, they make great blog topics. Starting a blog about your favorite soap opera is simple and quick--you can get started blogging today.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to a free blogging website and set up an account. The most popular free blogging sites are Blogger and Wordpress. Or, if you have your own hosting and domain name, use your host's blogging software to create a blog.

  2. Step 2

Think of a catchy name for your blog. Make it geared toward your favorite soap opera, whether it is a take on the location, a character, or the name of the soap opera itself.

  3. Step 3

Dress up the look of your blog. Search the internet for blog templates for the particular blog software you are using, or use a ready-made template from one of the free sites.

  4. Step 4

Put some information into your sidebar, such an "About Me" page, where you tell your readers a little about yourself. You can also add links to some of your favorite websites, a link for readers to contact you, or anything else you feel is appropriate for your new soap opera blog.

  5. Step 5

Begin blogging daily about the show. Since most soap operas air five days a week year-round, you will never be at a loss for information. Recapping the show each day will provide plenty of conversation points and bring about ideas for other blog entries.

  6. Step 6

Promote your blog by networking with other fans of the soap opera. Post on message boards and put a link to your blog in your signature. Read other people's blogs and comment on them. The more of an online presence you have, the more readers you will attract.
