Increase your energy level. If you worry that sagging energy may hinder performance, use stimulating essential oils such as mint, eucalyptus, rosemary and citrus based oils. Again, placing a few drops onto a cotton ball and inhaling may help your performance. Using these essential oils as a massage oil and asking a professional for a professional sports massage may also help.

Deal with health issues. If headaches or digestive problems may hinder your performance, then inhaling a few drops of peppermint essential oils may be helpful. Peppermint essential oil is extremely versatile, providing stimulation, pain relief and aiding in upset stomachs.

Improve memory. Some aromatherapy experts feel that stimulating essential oils such as rosemary may actually improve memory, whereas soothing essential oils like lavender may hinder memory.
