In today's world, women may be juggling a career, relationships and childcare. Everyone needs to take a break from everyday responsibilities and recharge. A nice way to enjoy a little break is with a girl's weekend. No significant others or kids allowed. It's a chance to catch up, laugh and relax with friends.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Gather up your girlfriends. Have a meeting to select a weekend to get together. Ensure everyone confirms the date and marks it on their calendars. Discuss any budget concerns.
Step2
Decide what you will do. If you want to be pampered and relax consider a spa weekend. For the adventurous group of girls consider a skiing, hiking or biking weekend. Plan a girls weekend to a city you all love or one you have never been before. Rent a cabin or go camping.
Step3
Get on the same page. Have some idea of the type of activities you will be doing so you know what to pack. Then again you could always go shopping for what you need when you arrive at your destination
Step4
Set a few basic ground rules. Your girls weekend is a time to enjoy your friends company. Limit cell phones and pagers. Don't go overboard checking on work or things at home. Do not discuss things that may cause conflict among friends and may lead to fights.
Step5
Leave responsibilities at home. Allow yourself a break. Don't feel guilty about getting away for a girls weekend. If you have kids leave someone you trust completely in charge. Keep in mind your place of employment will manage without you for a few days.
Step6
Enjoy yourself. Laugh with your friends all night, go dancing, eat good food and sleep in. Have a great time and realize you deserve it.

Tips & Warnings

  • Consider making a girls weekend a once or twice a year event you can all look forward to.
