Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Exercise will lower your blood sugar levels. Make time in your schedule for a regular exercise routine, even if it is just walking. Walk downhill if you are too heavy or weak to start a regular exercise program, you'll still benefit by reducing your blood sugar level.
Step2
Eat a healthy diet and drink plenty of water.
Step3
Spread your meals throughout the day. It is better to eat five small meals then three big ones.
Step4
Add cinnamon to your diet each day to help lower your blood sugar level.
Step5
Take your medications, if you are on any, at the same time each day.
Step6
Avoid soft drinks and foods that are high in sugar and carbohydrates.
Step7
Be aware of the effects that over-the-counter medications have on your blood sugar levels.
