Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Drop a slice of fresh ginger into a mixing glass and crush.

  2. Step 2

Pour 2 oz. of ice-cold vodka into the mixing glass.

  3. Step 3

Add 1 oz. of lime juice.

  4. Step 4

Splash in 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.

  5. Step 5

Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes and cover with the cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds. When condensation forms on the outside of the shaker, and it feels very cold, then it's mixed.

  6. Step 6

Prepare a serving glass by filling it with ice cubes. For an added touch, slice off a thin wedge of fresh ginger and place it on the lip of the glass as a garnish. Add a couple of straws.

  7. Step 7

Place a strainer over the top of the cocktail mixer and pour into the serving glass.

  8. Step 8

Top off with spiced ginger beer and serve.

Tips & Warnings
  • Store vodka in the freezer to keep well-chilled for mixing.
