How to Sign in to EarthLink Email Remotely

Accessing your email is often a concern when people are traveling. EarthLink is an Internet service provider that allows members the ability to check email remotely. The only thing you need is a computer with Internet access. Other than that, checking your EarthLink email remotely is easy.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Close your email program, such as Outlook, before you leave your house or office. With your email program shut down your emails do not go to your computer but instead stay on the EarthLink server until they are checked.

  2. Step 2

    Find a computer to check your email while you are away. This computer needs to have Internet access in order for you to view your mail. Go to My.earthlink.net. Sign in with your email address and your password.

  3. Step 3

    Browse and read your emails. Any email that is not sent to the POP email program stays on the server until deleted or until the email program is opened and checks for new email. If your emails contain sensitive data or you are concerned about Internet safety, the EarthLink website allows users to sign in on a secure server.

  4. Step 4

    Launch your email program when you return to your home or office. All of the emails that were not deleted from the server are sent to your inbox or folders, if you have folder settings.

Tips & Warnings
  • Some cell phones now have Internet access capabilities. Check your email using the Internet browser on your cell phone. Sign in into My.earthlink.net and follow the steps above as if you were on a regular computer.
