It's very easy to prepare homemade laundry pre-treating spray, and it works very well to remove stains from most items. When you use homemade cleaning products, such as laundry pre-treating spray, you are not exposing your family, or yourself, to any unknown chemicals. By preparing your own laundry pre-treating spray, you will be doing something that will have a positive effect on your family as well as the environment.

Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 cup ammonia
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 2 tbsp. liquid soap
  • 2 quarts water
  • Spray bottle
  • Measuring cup
Step1
Mix all of the ingredients into a spray bottle.
Step2
Place the top onto the spray bottle.
Step3
Shake until all the ingredients have mixed together.
Step4
Spray the liquid pre-treating stain remover onto the stain.
Step5
Allow the mixture to permeate the stain for a few minutes.
Step6
Launder the item as you would normally.

Tips & Warnings

  • Making your own cleaning products will cost you less money than buying prepared products.
  • Homemade cleaning products generally have a wonderful fresh fragrance.
  • Remove grass stains by blotting the stain with a cloth dipped in a mixture of 1/3 cup white vinegar and 2/3 cup water.
