Tips & Warnings
  • A Trace route gives you information about each computer between the originating computer and the destination, including ping times, IP addresses and the names of all of the computers.
  • If you need additional, more specific information other than internet service provider of the computer name, there are several free utilities you can download. After doing a quick search online I found one called Visual IP Trace 2007 that will give you more detailed information such as an estimated geographical location.
  • Please make sure you read all the fine print before downloading anything from the internet and using it.
