Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Cut off any beads on the Mardi Gras style necklace that are stuck together or has a small wire holding them together.
Step2
Starting at the bottom of the egg, hot glue a small dot on the center and slowly work the beads around the egg, gluing as you go.
If you want to see the color of the egg, leave a small space between the beads letting the string show. If you prefer to not see as much of the egg color, push the beads closer together when gluing.
Step3
You can use beads in any manner you desire on the eggs, from all the beads being the same color, to multicolored, to even making a "basket" egg or putting a cross, heart, or other design in the beads.
Step4
For the ribbon eggs, simply start with a dot of glue on the bottom of the egg and wrap the egg in ribbon, gluing each strip at the top and bottom of the egg. You can wind the ribbon as many times as you want around the egg.
Step5
To use fabric trims or lace around the center of the egg, simply hot glue it in place, hiding the center where egg comes apart. You can even weave a ribbon into the lace if you like.
Step6
To make the large egg in the middle of my basket, use a large egg with a clear top and simply glue some Easter grass and small flowers inside the egg. Then glue beads (I used pearls) around the egg, making sure to cover the opening on the sides.
