Learn how to draw a dog named Bandit! By the time you're done with this tutorial you'll be an expert drawinator!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Pencil
  • paper
  • eraser
  • a black fine line marker

Step1
Draw a circle!
Step2
Draw to lines to bisect the circle. These will be Bandit's eyes!
Step3
Add pupils! Now he can see you!
Step4
Give him a nose! Now he can smell you! (I hope you bathed for this ! ;-)
Step5
Add another line under the nose for a muzzle!
Step6
Add lines on each side of the muzzle and under the nose to create that line thingy that all cartoony dogs have but no one knows what it's called!
Step7
Add another line beneath the muzzle to create his mouth!
Step8
Add a half circle inside the mouth to create his tongue!
Step9
Create two circles on each side of his head. These will be the start of his ears!
Step10
Draw lines on each side of his head connecting the circles to the head. He sort of looks like a jester at this point huh?
Step11
Draw another line on the bottom of each ear connecting it to the head. When we're finished we'll color these ears in but if you want to cheat you can do it now!
Step12
Add two lines under Bandit's head to give him a neck!
Step13
Draw a circle under Bandit and connect it to his neck. This will be his body. (But you knew that, didn't you you smarty!)
Step14
Add a tear drop shape to Bandit's bottom to give him a tail to wag when you feed him!
Step15
Add his first back leg!
Step16
And because dog's don't have one leg, add another leg onto him!
Step17
Quick add another leg before he falls over!
Step18
Add his final leg! You're almost done!
Step19
Color his ears in, add some lines to his feet to make them look like paws and a few spots if you like! You're done! You are an official Drawinator now! Congratulate yourself by eating a cookie!

Tips & Warnings

  • Drawing is all about shapes. With a simple circle you can draw almost anything. If you make band9it's head a sideways oval and make his legs longer, you'll find you just made his cousin Woofer. I chose not to draw Woofer instead of Bandit because Woofer is messy and might have torn this page all up! Ok, I'm teasing but really you can change the shapes of the dog to maek new dogs. Remember drawing is all about shapes!
  • Look out! You might find you can draw! :-)
