Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
- A deck of cards
- A towel or yoga mat
Step1
Shuffle a deck of cards and place them on a surface near the place you will be exercising.
Step2
Assign an exercise you feel comfortable with to each suit. For example, hearts are crunches, spades are pushups, diamonds are squats and clubs are leg lifts. The possibilities are endless!
Step3
Do a quick warmup. You can jog in place, do some jumping jacks or anything that gets your muscles warm and ready.
Step4
Turn the cards over one at a time. The number on the card tells you how many reps to do. For example, if hearts are crunches and you get a 7 of hearts, you will do 7 crunches before turning over your next card. Suits count for 15 reps and Aces for 20.
Step5
Consider adding cardio to your workout by doing 50 jumping jacks every time you complete 10 cards.
Step6
Continue until the deck is finished. You will at this time have completed 100 reps of all 4 exercises. Do this work out 3 times a week and you will see results!

on 2/1/2008 OMG!!!!! Love it! I work out at the gym every day (cardio daily and weights every other day). Also, I dance (and dance and dace--huge fan of ballet). This sounds like a fun game to play either with a friend or alone. I am adding this to my favs--for me this is a great game!
Thanks! What a marvy idea!
