Things You'll Need:
- Adobe Photoshop (CS2/3)
-
Step 1
Create a Circle using the ellipse tool (Hold SHIFT key down while dragging to make symmetrical circle).
-
Step 2
Select the Text tool and hover your cursor on the Circle. When the cursor is placed above the circle correctly, it will change to something that looks like the cursor in the picture to the left:
-
Step 3
Once you have placed the cursor in the proper location and selected where you want to begin typing, write along the circle with your preferred font, style and color options selected.
-
Step 4
To make adjustments to the circular text, use the free transform tool which can be selected by holding 'ctrl' and 'T' or going to 'Edit' and clicking 'Free Transform' with the text layer selected.

on 4/21/2009 It worked for me. Make sure you're using the "Ellipse Tool" and not the "Elliptical Marquee Tool."Thanks for taking the time to post this tutorial.

on 2/24/2009 You will need to be specific as to why/how it "doesn't work" as I have used this method many times in CS2,3 and now 4. Ensure you are creating an actual SHAPE not simply a circular selection.
