How to tie the basic "Windsor Knot"

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

• Tie
• A Mirror

1. The wide end should be about 12 inches below the thin end... you will need to place the wide end over the thin end as shown in the image.
2. As shown in the second image, bring the wide end up through the loop you created by your neck. Then let it hang down again.
3. Then "wrap" the wide end around the narrow end as show in the image (bring it behind).
4. Bring the wide end back around the front.
5. Bring the wide end up through the loop once more.
6. Bring the wide end down through the knot you have created as shown in the image.
7. Gently "work" the knot upwards towards your neck and you are done!

Tips & Warnings

• Try it a few times to get the hang of it (practice makes perfect)
• You may want to use a mirror
