This is a delicious butter cookie that looks like a professional made it. This recipe makes about 3 dozen cookies.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2/3 Cup of Butter
  • 1/3 Cup of Sugar
  • 2 Egg Yokes
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. of salt
  • 1-1/2 cups of sifted flour
  • 2 slightly beating egg whites
  • 2/3 Cups of Finely Chopped Walnuts
  • 1/3 Cup Perserves (my favorite is Strawberry)

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add yokes and vanilla, 1/2 tsp salt, beat well and gradually add flour.

  2. Step 2

Shape into 3/4" ball and dip in egg white then roll in nuts.

  3. Step 3

Place on greased cookie sheet, 1" apart. Press center of cookie with your thumb and Bake @ 350 degrees for 15 - 17 minutes

  4. Step 4

    After cooled add preserves.

Try them for a Holiday, your guest will think you purchased them at a bakery. I personally like Rasberry or Strawberry Jam but alot of my friends like Grape Jelly.
