Have you ever tried to jog a trail with your keys in your hand? How about tied to your shoes? Feel uncomfortable about leaving your key or cash in a locker in the gym? Would like to keep your ticket from the nursery at the gym with you when you work out? Now you can. These instructions and the pattern I supply will allow you to create a small discreet pocket that is held together by high powered magnets. Just large enough for the items you can’t afford to have stolen.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Print out supplied pattern piece. It should be 9 inches long and 3 inches wide. Cut one piece of fabric the shape of the pattern piece. You can print out the image from http://www.makethemyourself.com/pocket.html.

  2. Step 2

Serge both ends. If you don’t have a serger you can use a ¼-inch hem.

  3. Step 3

Fold ends back to overlap body (with right sides together) and sew the sides.

  4. Step 4

    Turn right side out.

  5. Step 5

Fold pocket in half and sew side seam. Making sure it goes up and connects the facing piece as well.

  6. Step 6

    Serge or finish seams.

  7. Step 7

    Turn pocket right side out.

  8. Step 8

Cover remaining facing with fabric glue.

  10. Step 10

Push facing into place by inserting fingers into the pocket and allow to dry overnight.
