The following will show you how to make an aloe sunburn spray.

  • Aloe vera juice
  • Vitamin E oil
  • Lavender angustifolia essential oil
  • Calendula essential oil
  • Carrot seed essential oil
  • Peppermint or rosemary
  • Chemotype verbenon
  • 8 ounce spray bottle

Instructions

      Purchase aloe vera juice at a health food store or online. Measure out a cup of juice into an 8 ounce spray bottle.

      Add half a teaspoon of vitamin E oil to the aloe vera juice.

      Apply 20 drops of lavender angustifolia essential oil to the mixture in the bottle, 20 drops of calendula essential oil to the bottle and 20 drops of carrot seed essential oil.

      Put in 5 drops of peppermint. You can add rosemary if you do not have peppermint.

      Give this spray a cooling effect by adding 5 drops of chemotype verbenon to the mixture.

      Shake the bottle well and use on sensitive burned skin as often as you need to in order to hydrate and soothe.

Tips & Warnings

  • This aloe spray can be stored for as long as six months in the refrigerator. It will only last for about two to four weeks outside of the fridge.

  • Shake the bottle before you use the spray.

  • You can also use this formula as a toner for the face, chest and back if you have oily or acne-prone skin. When using this as a toner, apply it with a cotton ball at least twice a day to the skin.
