It's often difficult to deal with losing hair. Hair restoration procedures are very expensive and may not work; wigs often look fake. Usually the best solution is to just let nature take its course. The information below will help you deal with being bald.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Accept the fact that you're bald. Don't try to cover it up by creating an intricate comb-over with your remaining hair. Don't go everywhere in a baseball cap. Being bald is nothing to be ashamed of. Many men are bald; you're not alone.

  2. Step 2

Focus on the positive aspects of being bald. You don't have to spend money on shampoo, conditioner, hair gel or hair spray. You also don't need to waste time drying or styling your hair after a shower. You don't have to pay the barber to cut your hair every month, either.

  3. Step 3

Buy a stocking hat for the cold winter months. You lose a lot of body heat through the top of your head; without any hair to help insulate your head, it can get chilly fast.

  4. Step 4

Remember to apply sunscreen to your head when you're out in the sun, just as you would your face or ears. You definitely don't want to deal with a nasty sunburn on the top of your head.

  5. Step 5

Consider completely shaving your head. This look is quite popular; however, it requires some maintenance. You'll need to spend more money on shaving cream and razors and set aside time every couple of days to shave your head. Keep in mind that this strategy can backfire if your head has an unusual or unattractive shape.
