If you gamble often, then you are most likely eligible to earn comps at a casino. A comp is when the money that you put in to the slot machines and table games goes towards earning free stuff from the casino. Free stuff can include a discounted or free hotel room, free meals or other merchandise.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Sign up for a rewards card. This is a requirement if you wish to be comped at a casino. The rewards card keeps track of the money that you spend at that particular casino.
Step2
Use slot machines to earn your comps. Table game players don't earn the same comps as a person who is playing at a slot machine for the same amount of time. Many casinos also offer more comps to slot players that play the dollar or higher slot machines.
Step3
Put your rewards card in every machine that you use and hand it to the dealer at a table. Remember to get the card back after you finish playing.
Step4
Go to the booth at the casino to check your comps. If you have enough comps available, you'll get a ticket to use. The ticket can be exchanged for a comped meal, room or other items.
Step5
Look in the mail for comp offers. After you earn enough comps, the casino begins to send you comp offers in order to entice you back to their casino. Call the casino to redeem these comps.

Tips & Warnings

  • Table players usually don't get cash comps to use at table games. The cash comps are typically reserved for slot machines.
  • The longer you play affects the number of comps that you earn. Most casinos calculate comps through length of play and money spent.
