How to Get Tickets to the Ford 400

If you love to watch NASCAR on television, then you must treat yourself to an event in person. One of the coolest events of the year is the Ford 400. Held every year in November, the Ford 400 brings together all of the top talent of NASCAR in a heart pounding race that will leave you blown away.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

1. Go to NASCAR's website and click on the "tickets" link. This is located on the top menu bar of the main page. You will then be directed to a page that lists all of the events in the Nextel Cup Series. Scroll down until you find the Ford 400 race, and again click on tickets. You will be taken to a sister site of NASCAR where you can purchase tickets to the event. Be sure to buy early, as they certainly sell out fast.
2. Visit Ebay or other auction sites. The advantage to Ebay is that you can wait until just before the Ford 400 when there will be a handful of ticket sellers still jammed with tickets. Then you can buy your tickets. They may not be at face value, but you'll avoid paying top dollar. Then your tickets can be sent to you via email and you will be on your way.
3. Search other ticket matching sites. These sites match buyers with sellers. The sellers set the price and the site takes a piece of the action. You will usually pay above face value at these sites. If you are willing to spend, then you will certainly find yourself with a great pair of seats.
4. Win tickets to the event. Homestead Miami Speedway, which usually hosts the event, often has fundraisers such as blood drives where in return for giving blood you will be able to enter a drawing to win tickets to the race. NASCAR, as well as local radio stations also gives away tickets to fans by raffle or by playing on-air games. The best thing to do is stay current on the local sports talk stations in the Southeast and enter to win contests as they arise.

• Get a group together and buy in bulk. Usually 20 people or more will get you a discounted rate. You can make a whole weekend of it and tail-gate with friends and family.
