Swimming is one of the best sports for maintaining a healthy body. Indoor pools can add hours of enjoyment to your life as you can use them year-round. And to stay healthy, you've got to make sure the pool room is clean as well. The warm humid air in pool rooms breeds mold and mildew, so here are steps to clean an indoor pool room.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Circulate the air. Many pool rooms have a vent or fan that circulates outside air with inside air. This fan is turned off to allow the room to heat up. Turn the fan back on to circulate the stale air. Remove excess chlorine and chemical air out of the room.
Step2
Seal the grout in the tile and clean the tile floor regularly. Spray down the floor with a hose with a spray nozzle. Clean the floor and remove any standing water. Dry the floor with a squeegee after using the pool. This will cut down on the mold and mildew build up on the floor and eliminate any standing water for mosquitoes and the like.
Step3
Mix two tablespoons of bleach and water in a spray bottle. Make sure you buy bleach that contains chlorine. Spray down the window sills and windows. Wipe the area clean with a dry towel. This will kill any mildew build up on the windows and sills.
Step4
Clean vents and replace filters regularly. Make sure the vents are open and free to circulate air. Clean any outside obstacles to the vents such as leaves, tree limbs, or shrubbery. Replace filters in the heater and air conditioning units regularly.
Step5
Run a dehumidifier constantly in a poolroom. Empty the dehumidifier when it fills up and keep it plugged in to a grounded outlet.
