The iPod is the new rage and since it allows music to go portable. Why not video? Previously there were incredible, painstaking efforts you would have to go through to put a Google video on you iPod. So much so, that some resorted to lifting them illegally, but that is not necessary anymore.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Choose a video to download from the variety offered on Google Video.
Step2
Search for a menu to the right of the video offering the option "Video iPod/Sony PSP" next to the word "Download'. The video may not be available for download and if not, then these options will not be presented. However, if they are, then click "Download".
Step3
Select the "Save" option from the dialog box that pops up. Save the video preferably to its own folder with other material of the same file type.
Step4
Hook up your computer to your iPod. Find and open the Apple iTunes program. If it is not already downloaded, go to the iTunes website to download and then familiarize yourself with it.
Step5
Choose "File," then "Add File to Library." Search for whichever video you want on the iPod and then select "Open" in the dialog box.
Step6
Pick the "Movies" option. Or in iTunes version 6.0, you have to go through a few extra steps: Select "Edit" then "Preferences," then "iPod," then "Videos," then "Automatically update all videos." Select "OK" to finish. Select the "Sync movies" and then press "Apply."
Step7
Use the PQ iPod Converter to make any video iPod-compatible.
