How to Change Page Properties in Dreamweaver
Dreamweaver gives you many options when it comes to setting the properties for your webpages. Within the "Page Properties" dialog box, you can set the appearance of your page, name your page and set other important properties that will not only enhance your website, but will also improve the usability of your website.

Start Dreamweaver. Select "HTML" under the "New" section on the introduction splash screen to open a new blank HTML file.

Choose the "Modify" menu and then "Page Properties" to open up the "Page Properties" dialog box.

Change the appearance of your page by changing the font, font size, text color, background color, background image, background repeat and margins.

Click on the "Links" category on the left-hand side of the screen to change the link font, link font size, link color, rollover link color, visited link color, active link color and underline style.

Choose the "Headings" category to change the options for the heading font, style and set the specific settings of size and color for each heading style.

Select "Title/Encoding" to name or change the title name, set the document type and set the encoding. The "Title/Encoding" category will also show you your current site folder location.

Click on "Tracing Image" to set the tracing image. This will also set the transparency of the tracing image by percentage.

CTRL+J can be used as a keyboard shortcut to open up the "Page Properties" dialog box.
Naming a title is a helpful way to let visitors know where they are at on your website and easily find your website if they add it to their favorites.
