How to Create Interactive Text in Dreamweaver
You can easily create interactive text by setting a few options in Dreamweaver. Interactive text can be used as buttons or simply as an interesting way to link on your website. No coding is required, and it takes only a few minutes to create a fantastic looking interactive text component to add to your site.

Start Dreamweaver and click on "HTML" in the "New" section of the Dreamweaver introduction splash screen.

Click on your document to place the insertion point where you would like the flash text to appear.

Select the "Insert" menu, the "Media" option and then choose "Flash Text" to open the "Insert Flash Text" dialog box.

Choose the font, font size, font style, alignment, font color and rollover color for your interactive flash text. The rollover color is the color the text will turn to when the mouse is taken over the text.

Type in the text you would like to make interactive into the "Text" dialog box. If you keep the "Show Font" option checked, your chosen font will be used as you type in your text.

Enter the URL or browse to select the webpage you would like your interactive text to link to and select a target to set how you want that link to be opened.

Select a background color by setting the "BG color" option and save the interactive text by typing in a name by which to save it.

Tips & Warnings
Press the "Play" button in the "Properties" pane while you have the interactive text selected to view your final product.
Edit the font type, size and color by clicking the "Edit..." button in the Properties pane while your interactive text is selected.
