Instructions

    • 1

Measure out eight cups of quick-setting cement and two cups of water into a bucket. Mix well until the mixture is similar in consistency to cooked oatmeal. If necessary, add more water or cement to achieve this consistency.

    • 2

Pour the mixed cement into a shallow cardboard box about 11 inches by 16 inches in size so that the cement is about an inch and a half to two inches thick. Make sure the cement is even when making the stones. You can also use an aluminum cake pan for this project instead of the cardboard box.

    • 3

Smooth out the top of the cement with something flat such as a ruler or trowel. Let the cement sit for about two to five minutes.

    • 4

Stick your hands, feet or both into the wet cement and push down about an inch to two inches into the cement. After doing so, immediately rinse your hands and feet with water until the cement is completely removed.

    • 5

Write your name on the cement or any message you would like. Use a stick or an old pencil. Don't forget to include the date.

    • 6

Allow the cement to dry thoroughly for at least 48 hours. Tear off the cardboard box or aluminum cake pan and give your creation as a gift or put the stones in the backyard to create a walk of fame stone pathway.
