You can do this easily by viewing the frame borders and grabbing on to them with your mouse to delete, as well as move or further manipulate them. Follow the steps below to delete a frame in a Dreamweaver frameset.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Dreamweaver

Step1
Start Dreamweaver and open an existing file that contains an HTML page that contains a frameset.
Step2
Open the Frames panel by selecting the "Windows" menu and then clicking on "Frames." The Frames panel will open on your desktop and show the layout of your frameset.
Step3
Choose the "View" menu, point to "Visual Aids" and then click on "Frame Borders" to add a checkmark to the "Frame Borders" selection. This will let you view the frame borders in your document window.
Step4
Move your mouse over the frame border of the frame you want to delete. You should see a double-headed arrow.
Step5
Click on the frame border when you see the double-headed arrow and drag the border off the screen, releasing the mouse when the frame border no longer appears in the document window.
Step6
View your Frames panel to make sure that the frame has been completely deleted from your document.
