The tackle box isn't just for fishing anymore. Fish swivel bracelets are inexpensive, yet stylish and fun. With a little practice, you can turn these bracelets out in no time at all. Soon the fisherman in your life will be hiding his tool box and his tackle box from you.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • #10 Fish swivels
  • Small bells
  • Variety of seed beads
  • Round nose pliers
  1. Step 1

Gather several #10 fishing swivels. Set them out and straighten the prong on each swivel.

  2. Step 2

Slide a few seed beads onto each prong. Attach the circular end of the next swivel on the prong.

  3. Step 3

Bend the prong back into its curved shape. Slide a bell on the prong, and close the swivel.

  4. Step 4

Unclasp the second swivel, and repeat the previous step. Continue to add swivels until the bracelet is the desired length.

  5. Step 5

Leave the last fish swivel without beads or a bell. Use this link as the clasp of the bracelet.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add little charms to the prongs in place of the bells.
  • Use round nose pliers to bend the prong back into its rounded shape.
  • Make a fish swivel necklace by adding additional links.
  • Don't let Dad know that you are using his fishing gear. The sneakier you are, the more bracelets you can make.
  • Make sure that the swivels are lead free.
  • Small children may lack the dexterity required to manipulate the swivels. Always assist young children to keep them from becoming discouraged.
