If you own RC (radio controlled) toys, you occasionally will need replacement parts. Most hobby and electronics stores have an RC toy department. With the steps below you easily can track down parts for your RC toys.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Do an Internet search for "RC Parts." You will find sites like Hobbytron (see Resources below) selling the parts you need.

  2. Step 2

Call the Hobby Lobby or Radio Shack store nearest to you and ask if they stock parts for RC toys or visit the store and browse.

  3. Step 3

Organize or join an RC toys club and have a swap meet. Network with other RC toy enthusiasts on sites like Team Trinity (see Resources below).

  4. Step 4

Go on eBay and look for parts for sale.

  5. Step 5

Advertise for free on Craigslist to find the RC parts you need.

  6. Step 6

Check local hobby and electronics stores to see if they have a bulletin board. Post a note seeking the parts.

  7. Step 7

Place a want ad in the classifieds of hobbyists magazines and newsletters. Nearly every hobbyist publication has a classifieds section that allows hobbyists to network.

Tips & Warnings
  • The Team Trinity website has a discussion forum where you can communicate with other RC toy enthusiasts. Radio Shack has an online class where you can learn more about building RC toys.
  • Research prices before you bid on eBay to avoid bidding too high. Radio Shack is a good place to check prices. Ensure the seller has a high rating.
